Why Choose a Celebrant?

The Joy of Choosing a Celebrant

We pour endless time into planning every detail of our weddings - the dress, the décor, the music, the food...

But what often gets the least attention? The ceremony! We just go with the available registrar, follow a script, and call it a day. But this is the heart of your wedding! Shouldn't it be as special as the rest of your celebration?

The ceremony is why the whole day exists, so why not make it completely you? And that’s where choosing a celebrant comes in.

Forget the cookie-cutter approach - this is your chance to create something totally personal, filled with your love story, your jokes, and your style. With a celebrant, the possibilities are endless. Want to throw in your favourite movie quotes, meaningful rituals, or inside jokes? Perhaps you have a glass of your favourite bottle of red wine as you sign your certificate .. there’s nothing stopping you.

As your celebrant, I’ll work with you to craft a ceremony that’s personal, fun, and reflects everything that makes your relationship unique. I’ll get to know you ahead of time, so your wedding day is filled with those special, personal touches that matter most.

So whether you're dreaming of a wedding in a mysterious castle, a sunset ceremony on the beach, or something completely offbeat, a celebrant allows the creativity and flexibility to bring your vision to life. No rules, no restrictions - just pure celebration, exactly how you want it.

Why me?

When you choose me as your celebrant, you're getting someone who’s just as excited about your big day as you are!

I specialise in creating ceremonies that are personal, warm, and full of heart. I’ll take the time to really understand you and your partner, weaving it into a one-of-a-kind ceremony, complete with a rhyming poem of your love story.

I’ll collaborate with you to create something that is truly unforgettable – for both you and your partner, and your wedding guests! No one will be looking forward to the drinks reception after the ceremony, as everyone will be captivated by your bespoke ceremony. Whether that means incorporating quirky traditions, heartfelt vows, or your favourite song, whatever your style, I’ll make sure your ceremony is the highlight of your day.

"The best in the biz. We couldn’t recommend anyone better for the job."

What's the difference between a Celebrant-led and a Registrar wedding?

Here’s the thing: a celebrant-led wedding isn’t legally binding, which actually works in your favour!

You can quickly sort out the legal stuff at a registry office (just the two of you and two witnesses) and then get on with creating your dream ceremony. With a celebrant, you have complete freedom to step out the traditional box and make the day your own.

Unlike religious or civil ceremonies, which come with strict rules, a celebrant-led wedding means you can throw the rulebook out the window! You can say whatever you want in your vows, whether that’s Taylor Swift lyrics, promises to love each other more than your pets, or simply keeping it light and fun. There really are no limits!

While a registrar-led ceremony follows a set structure (and often lacks personality), a celebrant-led wedding is all about freedom. You can have your ceremony anywhere, at any time, with all the personal touches you want. Plus, I’ll work closely with you before the big day, so it feels like we’re old friends when I’m standing there with you.

Bottom line? With a celebrant, your wedding ceremony will be as unforgettable and one-of-a-kind as your love story. Let’s create something magical together!
